If you read the newspapers and listen to the news it seems that society is more violent than ever. In fact, modern life is remarkably peaceful compared to previous eras. This documentary told a history of violence across the centuries by citing the violent acts that took place on particular London street. These days it’s an anonymous dual carriageway but it used to have a reputation as the most dangerous street in Britain. The film won an award for its original use of animation to reconstruct historical violence.
