This documentary reveals how Adolf Hitler became a pill-popping hypochondriac. It doesn’t explain nor excuse any part of his murderous rule but it does unravel his unhealthy relationship with his doctor, Theodore Morell. In this clip, historian Sir Richard Evans climbs the marble staircase to Morell’s consulting rooms in central Berlin and tells us the strange story of Hitler’s tummy troubles and how Morell cured them.
